Culpeper cost-of-living calculator

Problem

Households considering a move need practical cost comparisons. I worked on turning economic and household expense information into a useful local-government tool.

Approach How I thought about it

• I modeled relocation and household costs around the practical needs of county economic development, working with officials and local stakeholders.

What I built or did

• I developed a cost-of-living calculator to help households evaluate relocating to Culpeper County.
• I also supported workforce development, business-investment initiatives, and Shop Local promotion.

Results

• Completed

  The calculator was reported as implemented for government use.

• Completed

  Selected as one of 50 students nationally for the 2025 Leonard D. Schaeffer Fellowship in Government Service.
